I've been waiting for this music video to drop for ages. I've always been a fan of Dev; ever since her first collaboration with Far East Movement "Like A G6", I knew she was gonna make it big. Not to disappoint, her sophomore album, "The Night The Sun Came Up" is such a great album; if you want to bounce your lil booties to or while getting ready to go bounce your booties elsewhere.
So, I've always been meh with Enrique but IMHO I think he looks really good in this music video, I was totally down for getting naked with him.
Love Dev, love the gurl but I thought her new style was a bit off for me, I dunno. The haircut and the nude pale makeup were all too....drugged out I think. (still love her though, dont get me wrong).
That's my two cents, but check out the music video and enjoy; it is still a fun song though ;)

Introducing Pilar Rodriguez Designs from Vancouver. Photos styles by Dominique Angelina.
Here is a new shoot of Pilar Rodriguez Designs of her new collection of Fascinators and Blooms. Check out her website at http://www.pilarrodriguezdesigns-vancouver.ca/ where you can see all her latest creations!
I had such a great time working on this shoot! Because it was a close up headshot there were so many ways we could shoot the product. Having a classic yet modern look to the girls with the product made the over all picture look chic and sophisticated!
For information on getting your products into a styled photo shoot or to create fashion look books like this contact Dom and Frank at Domandfrankculture@gmail.com
Let your creations be seen!

It Gets Better
So, for the most parts, Dom and I love our schooling, instructors and classmates very very much. There have been time where we just dreaded going to classes. However, photoshoot styling (editorial and commercial) have always been fun and very exciting. We all learn from it and can actually see and have our results presented right in front of us, pretty much like a week after.
We've just wrapped up our commercial shoot; which basically is the idea of a product(s) driven photoshoot. Everyone had great and creative visions, it was an eye opening experience; everyone's personalities and styles really shown in their work.
I thought about doing a more fun and quirky commercial idea; but I decided against that at the last minute. I wanted to show a more serious side to me, I wanted to address an issue that my classmates and instructors might not be awared of; gay teen suicidal and gay bullying. I wanted to highlight the "It Gets Better" Project. It's a great campaign and it is a personal matter to me. To those who arent awared of what I'm talking about; the It Gets Better is an internet based project started out by Dan Savage and his partner Terry Miller, in respond to gay teens committing suicide in the US. It started as a youtube video of Dan and Terry speaking about their past experiences growing up and being bully for being different, but all that changed and it all got better, in hope that teenagers would not end their previous lifes untimely. And then youtube users started posting their own stories, and soon followed after were celebrities (gay, and straight alliances alike), and even The President of the US, Barrack Obama, posted a video also encouraging teenagers to hold on because it will get better. And if you would like to know more about the campaign (as you can clearly see Im not doing it justice with my short description) please head over to their official website at http://www.itgetsbetter.org/
And I wanted to contribute to that great cause; because believe me, it does get better. It gets soo soo much better. I knew I was different in highschool, and growing up in a traditional catholic asian family (being the very first born son of a first born son), it wasnt easy ;) . Im expected to carry on the family line, being that I am the first son/grandson, they believed that I carry the pure bloodline of the family. The pressure was enormous....like the size of a tour bus, carrying elephants and whatever the heaviest items you can think of. Anywho, there were times that I seriously thought about running away and/or killing myself, then I wouldnt have to face any of those and I could do whatever I wanted. But I was blessed to have great friends, and my family was very understanding when I came out. ( Please do understand that I went through years of depressions and struggles, and that I've decided to save y'all from reading pages upon pages of my pain by really skimming down to the important details. It wasnt as easy and fluent as this post seems to y'all)
In light of that, I would like to present to you, my commercial vision for The "It Gets Better" Project. Starring the lovely and talented Ms. Kim C. and myself. In this photo set, Kim represents an androgynous figure that has struggled through the hate and names calling of the past, and now he/she is moving on with a better and brighter future.

Image Consultation Make Over
I had the opportunity to do an image consultation with a client and take her shopping to find an outfit that best suited her personality, age and lifestyle. Together another stylist, Amanda Friesen, we collaborated to distinguish what look good and what looked terrible. after a day of shopping and trying on clothes after clothes after clothes, we finally put together an outfit the complimented her body, her personality and is versatile for many occasions. After our shopping day, we had a professional photo shoot to show off her new look!
Check out the before and after pictures!

Doesn't she look stylish!?

Instagram will be available for Android users..soon
The fantastically fun and exciting app, Instagram, is one of the most used and popular app for iphone users since...dinosaurs roamed the earth, literally. I cant think of a single photos uploaded onto facebook on my newsfeed that isnt Instagrammed (is that a word? I think I just verb-alize the word Instagram). The users or "photographers" (and I use the word in a very very loose sense) can take a picture of any ordinary and mundane objects and transform the photograph into an amazing picture with professional-like qualities. Im sure y'all all very well awared of this app already, and can possibly operate the app while sleeping, driving, or drunk. ;)
However, this amazing app has left many non-iphone users felt deprived and inadequately equipped for the wonderful artistic world because of their lack of capturing artistic photos. Yes readers, you can probably read my melodramatic and depressed undertone thus far that I am an Android user. Though I do enjoy the capabilities, designs and originality of my Android, I often asked myself: "How would I express my feelings and emotions through this picture without the features and benefits of Instagram?"
Fret not Android brothens ..and sisters, Instagram founders had recently confirmed that a version for the Adroid will be releasing "very soon". It is currently being tested in a private beta.
I am most absolutely delighted to be downloading this app and show the world (or at least the people on my facebook) how beautiful my dinner, or a rock, the street signs, my fingernails, etc will look through Instagram's filters.
